Overview

The Account Director will be part of this fast-growing environment and help build the next big thing. We need someone capable of client acquisition, development, and retention with large national accounts by nurturing a targeted list of contacts through multiple sales channels. This high-profile role will have a major impact on our business in 2017 and beyond. A successful candidate will have previous experiential marketing or event management experience.

Responsibilities

  • National client acquisition, development, and retention in the Experiential Marketing, Festival, Convention, Tradeshow, and Event industries and other segments as indicated by our growth plan
  • Effectively set, manage, and measure client expectations
  • Manage and mentor a team of operations associates to support multiple large national accounts
  • Forecast new and existing account sales on a monthly, quarterly and annual cadence.
  • Conduct meetings and discovery, research accounts, articulate our value proposition, present demos and close new business
  • Develop relationships at several levels within a client’s organizational structure to better measure client perception of expectation achievement
  • Identify and develop additional strategic opportunity within client organizations
  • Hit sales goals on a consistent basis by acquiring new prospects and growing existing client accounts
  • Manage order fulfillment for all clients working closely with our community operations team
  • Work closely across departments to drive efficiency, improve processes and provide feedback on our product

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years sales experience
  • 2+ years of experience in experiential marketing, conventions, event management / marketing with a proven network of contacts
  • Possesses an entrepreneurial mindset and a roll-up-the-sleeves work ethic
  • Demonstrating track record of identifying, prospecting, closing, and developing strategic clients
  • Willingness to work in a fast-moving, dynamic company culture and industry
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree required
